This is currently an archive of the old Dominoblog.com website which contains documentation on the old dominoblog software.

Well with the IBM blog template being available in Notes/Domino 7.0.2, this will render the version on this site obsolete and unsupported (officially). I think the IBM version is now available to partners on the beta program.

The documentation on this site will also become obsolete as look and feel has changed together with simplification of some features and removal of unrequired ones (and those that relied on open source code). I will be writing new articles but time will not allow me to continue writing for the old version.

So what todo - well its probably going to be a bit extreme as I need to move onto other things I have in mind etc. So first off I will be dropping this site and its content will be replaced with something else exciting (really I promise) - which I will let you know about in due course.

I will still try and help people out and I plan on a "final release" that fixes a few bugs. I will also be writing a tool that will convert your old dominoblog templates and convert them to the new. Whether this will be code in the final release or a standalone tool - I don't know yet.

PSC will also be hosting my personal website - thanks PSC! Whether I will hang my project work on this site I do not know yet - maybe projectdx.org will need reviving as a seperate domain. Anyway a few things to work out.

Finally - I know I am behind on support emails and questions on this site - I will address them soon - its a been a bit hectic of late.

Oh and a big thankyou to all those that have been with me on the dominoblog ride - I know who you are and you can be assured of my help with your old templates etc and hopefully moving forward onto the new.

I hope to release an update sometime over the next week with some bug fixes I found whilst quality checking.

The IBM version of the template will be out September time (and with Beta 2 of 7.0.2 for those that can get it).

Whilst not included in the IBM release, I will release some code (I'm guessing it will be in the final release here) that will migrate you to the new version as some things have been changed.

I may be moving house soon and because of that I will be relocating my equipment thats hosts this and my personal website.

I may not have fixed ip at my new address therefore any suggestions or offers on hosting 2/3 domino websites would be welcome! My sites get a fair set of hits so would need to be a commerical hosting platform.

This site will be unavailable for most of Friday 22nd June due to rewiring of the data center. Well anyway I am having some remedial work done to my house to fulfill some UK wiring legislations.

In July (World Cup Final day so she had better not be slow) my better half Sue will be running the "Race for Life" which is a charity run on behalf of Womens Breast Cancer research.

Sue has already done the rounds with her sponsor sheet but I thought I would setup an online sponsor page at Cancer Research UK for people to add their own online sponsors.

I also thought that if I have helped anyone out over the years with the provision of dominoblog or help using it and you wish to make a donation, then this is a great cause to receive this!
