Using a Seperate Statistics Database

In order to cut down on replication, from version 2.1.3 you can specify a seperate database to hold the statistics data.

To do this is straightforward:

1.        Take a copy of your blog database and call it say "bloglog.nsf" and place on your server where your blog database is.
2.        In your blogs configuration document - goto the logging tab and switch "Use Alternative Database" On.
3.        Complete the field "Location of external log"
4.        Save your configuration document and thats it.
5.        You can migrate existing statistics to your new database by clicking the migrate button (see below).
