Nice. Can you spare us some more details? E.g., will we be able to update DominoBlog design by this template and not break anything? Will there be any Domino 7 only features or will it also run on 6.5.x release?

I will only mention public knowledge information - it is upto official IBM channels to release other info. The picture shown is the one available from the IBM.com site.
However it would not be wrong for me to say that the IBM template can be refreshed over the original dominoblog version however the themes will need converting.
It is not IBM's responsibility to do this or support this as they are releasing their v1 of the software however I will be writing code for people to upgrade.
At the moment I do not forsee any R7 features so it will work across the R6 releases.

To make this template easier for n00bies, have you thought of making 2 forms for entering data, regular and advanced. There are a bunch of fields that can be hidden from a large portion of the users who might use this database. Just a thought.

As Steve says, this still needs to be officially announced, but since the feature is explicitly part of 7.0.2, users and servers will need to be current on a 7.0.2 license or maintenance in order to use it. So whether it functionally works on 6.5, the license must be for 7.0.2.
