Categorising Images
Thursday, July 22nd, 2004

From version 2.2.1 you can now categorise images within your database. This is useful mainly for organising and finding images but can also be used to group images together to be used in an image gallery etc (covered in a seperate document).

In order to categorise Images you need to create Image Categories within your database - alternatively you can create them on the fly when you import an image or group of images.

To create Image categories up front you do this within the Image Categories view which is located in the configuration section.

Within that view there is a button entitled "Create Image Category" - when the new document opens - enter your image category name and save.

When you import an image you are prompted to select a category name:

If you want to create a new category or not use a category then select "Cancel". A new dialog box will then appear asking you for a new category name:

If you want to create a category on the fly do it here or select "Cancel" to continue without using a category.

There are now extra image views in your database to show your images within these categories.
