Great job for your RSS Reader ! We are using more and more RSS feed and even Lotus Notes 8 reader is not as good as yours.

I would like your permission for using it in my company. I will have to add proxy support and translate it into french.

What about having it on OpenNTF ?

I have just downloaded and tried your feed reader and it works perfectly when I have got a direct internet connection but not when using the proxy. I saw in the previous comments that you were working on adding the proxy feature. Is there a version including the feature ?

Hi Steve,

Wonder if you know what might causing the problem for me. The RSSReader agent keep crasing the domino server when it run. Have you experience this issue before?

Steve, is it possible to have the publish date of a story insead of the Domino created date of the document.

When I started the reader, it brings in 100's of stories, but all sorted by creation date, while it should be the date the story was actually filed..

Hi Steve,

Just wondering if the current version of the reader supports authenticated RSS feeds? If not, are there any plans for this? I am starting to see RSS channels pop up all over the place, and in particular within project management type apps, where you can only view the content (including the RSS's XML) if you have authenticated first.

Hi,

In the RSS Story form the description field only shows html-code, not rendered. I used instead the computed text to show the contents of the description field and marking it pass-thru html. Now it shows the contents of the description field rendered with links, bold and for example ä correctly. Maybe it could be a feature others would like also.

I think I have got the agent problem fixed. It was related to some corruption. Deleting the agent and pasting another copy seemed to fix it!

Hi Steve.

I have been banging away at the reader for the last few weeks. I got around to adding the feature to open the article automatically from the view if the user wants, using a user profile doc. to store the users pref - works very nicely!

Also added a date/time column of when the doc was added to the reader - I find this useful to see whats new and when - I live in the Items\By Channel view.

I am seeing some problems with the java agent on the server though, they seem to be related to memory issues. The agent will run ok, then suddenly start throwing out errors..

Below, you can also see that notestips.com is not responding at the moment, not sure if that triggers the problem. Thought you'd like (!!) to know!

Server is running 6.5.2 if that makes a difference. To workaround I just stop and start http, and it works again for a while.

Could you add another (optional) functionality - automatic deletion of items in given intervals. E.g. for a given feed, I want to have all entries automatically deleted once a week, or once a day, or never etc.

I love this feed reader! A couple of suggestions, if I may:

1) would it be possible to add a check interval per feed (e.g. I only want to see certain feeds once a week, but other twice a day)

2) can the URLs of the entries be made into hotspots/hyperlinks so I can just click on them to see the detail?
