Collecting Statistics from the Domino Blog Template

Using this technote you can download a sample statistics template and record site usage of your blog site.

Previously statistics were contained within the same database as the blog content, however this practice was not good for your replication or indexes/full text indexing - especially if you get a lot of hits. Users were recommended to create a second blog and store statistics there. Well now there is the ability to have a dedicated template.

You can use this template over any old statistics databases. The only views that will not be accurate will be the hits by month (they will show months by old format and seperately months by new format). The documents will need a refresh to update.

Incidently there are a couple of edits due on the technote that must be filtering through - mainly to ensure you use a forward slash when specifying the folder/file path to your statistics database.  Done

I have plans "to do" things with this template in the future, however more on that another time.
